I tried my pendulum for the first time today...I was completely shocked.

I have never tried to do any serious divination before. I have played with an ouija board when I was a kid...but nothing serious.

Well after read a bit on the mysticwicks forums about pendulums I decided to try out mine. I got it out and held it over the pendulum board I made on the computer. I just kept saying over and over again "yes, yes, yes, yes, yes" and the pendulum started to swing. I recorded its movements and then held it saying "no, no, no, no, no" and it started to swing a different direction. Again, I recorded it and did the same thing saying "i dont know" and then "rephrase the question". I then recorded those movements.

 Then I asked a question to which I already knew the answer. I asked if I would move...well yeah I will move, my hubby's in the Army! Lol. So I asked it....and it gave me a "yes"!!! I was so excited. Nothing like this has ever worked for me before. I had always worried that I had some sort of lack of ability in these areas.

But then I decided to ask some REAL questions in my mind. I asked if I was pregnant (my hubby and I are trying)....it said it didn't know. Then I asked if I would conceive this month (august) and it said no....so I still dont know if I am pregnant or not. The question about conceiving could go either way.

 I am just really excited about this. I didn't want to overdo it so I put the pendulum away and decided that I will try it again later or tomorrow.

 Yay! Now I am all wondering how it will go when I get my tarot cards. =P

It's so great that there is a site like this for Pagans. I mean, there are versions of myspace for almost everyone! I really was wanting to have a place to talk about my Pagan thoughts. I don't really feel comfortable talking about it much on my Myspace blog. Its not that I think that people will say anything to me...I dont know, I just would rather talk about it to people who can relate to me.

 But anyway, I have been living in El Paso, TX, which is a huge difference from my home in Illinois. My hubby is a Sgt. in the Army so home is where the Army sends us! Lol. We found out recently that we will be moving to North Carolina. I am REALLY excited about that! For one thing...its GREEN! I feel so much closer to nature in a forest than a desert. I know that there is still tons of life in a desert...but its just not something I can get close to. I have tried! I have a view of the mountains from the house...and they are beautiful, but I just dont get the same feeling when I look at them, then when I look at a big beautiful tree bursting with green! And I looked up some pictures of North Carolina and it looks BEAUTIFUL. And I saw that there are some Pagan shops near where I will be living so I am really excited to visit those! =D There is NOTHING here. The closest Pagan shop seems to be in Las Cruces, NM...which is a ways away.

 But anyway, only a few more months of desert ugliness and then I will be going back east! Yay!

One thing I have been interested in lately is Divination. My best friend bought me a pendulum a while back as a gift and I haven't really known what to do with it. But I did some research and now I am really excited to try it out! I just need to find a few minutes of peace to do the magick. Maybe I will try it out after Joshua's lunch break. I printed out a simple Pendulum Board so I will try that. Joshua had a great idea of going to Michaels or Hobby Lobby and getting a wooden board and burning the symbols into the wood. I love that idea and I can't wait to do it! We could even paint the symbols onto it!

Another thing in Divination is Tarot. I used to have a faery oracle deck many years ago, but I didn't know what to do with it so its been lost in time! But I just ordered a new tarot deck on amazon.com so I should be getting that here soon. =) I also bought a book on tarot so I can really understand it better. There are just sometimes when I really need advice on what to do in life, and I have no one to ask. I mean, I dont think there is a living soul on earth who one can go to and have them tell you what to do with your life...so...I am going beyond this earth. =)

Anyway, I think that is all from me for now. Again, I am so excited about having this place to come to to talk about my Pagan stuff! Teehee. I'll make my husband (who is also Pagan) make his own CovenSpace, too!
